COVID-19 RESPONSE

06/11/20

From the 5th November to 2nd December, England are under a national lockdown, however this has some exemptions including Community Centres that can open for ‘Support Groups of 15’. After meetings with the Trustees, Staff and Volunteers, the Club Leader, Nathan has decided that we can continue to open our provision to meet the needs of the young people that attend the club.

New measures from the 5th December for Rotherham Blackburn Club for Young People weekly youth club.
The following measures are for Juniors (ages 8-12) and Seniors (ages 13-18).

- Limited group sizes of 12 including staff and volunteers.

- For the foreseeable future, each age group will be an invite only club with home consent.

- All ages are required to wear face coverings, unless exempt.

- All ages will practice hand sanitising and social distancing.

- 30 minute breaks between age groups for full sanitising of building and equipment.

Hello everyone,

Unfortunately the Youth Club will continue to be closed until further notice.. We are following government advice on our decision making but we hope to be back open as soon as possible.

Our team wants to reach out to the community during this surreal time, we hope everyone is staying safe and enjoying their time together at home.

For anyone that is a key worker or helping those in need, we applaud you this pandemic has given people in these jobs some positive recognition that they've always deserved...

This really is a time to understand the importance of looking after ourselves and helping others.

If anyone in the community has any concerns please get in touch through the page, we will also happily speak to the council on your behalf.

We want to make sure that the young people still have access to their local youth work service, therefore tomorrow we will be launching an online youth club...

Thank you,

The Club Team
